I think of rings and their small circles as not just jewelry, but as something that has a deep connection with humans. Just as Joseph Kosuth's work "One and Three Chairs'' provokes thought through the combination of physical presence, representation, and language, I use the ring to deconstruct disparate elements and pose questions to the viewer.
Firstly, I made a ring from pure gold using orthodox jewelry making techniques. This original ring, recognized as conventional jewelry due to the unique beauty woven by the metal and its physical presence, showcases the craftsmanship. Next, I 3D-scanned the ring and utilized the data to output replicas through the SLD method. Through this process, the ring's shape and details were integrated into the digital realm, adding a new dimension. The visualized 3D scan data symbolizes the ring's memory/record as information, visualizing personal emotions and its historical value. On the other hand, the replicated rings represent aesthetic and functional value by extracting wearability and design. Finally, the original ring was melted down, reverting to pure gold granules. This process questions material values and shows how pure gold is, a symbol of wealth. Furthermore, the convenience and contemporaneity of digital data is emphasized as a tool that reflects the times, while the replica is highlighted as a vessel from which the surface of the jewelry is extracted.
By breaking the ring down into its three components, this work not only reexamines the universal relationship between man and jewelry, but also prompts us to question the "value created by man.

指輪、その小さな円環、は単なる装身具ではなく、人間との深い関わりを持つものとして私は考えます。Joseph Kosuthの作品「One and Three Chairs」が物理的な存在とその表象、そして言語の組み合わせを通じて思考を促すように、私も指輪を通して異なる要素を解体し、鑑賞者に疑問を投げかけます。
まず、私は従来のジュエリー制作方法を用いて、純金から指輪を制作しました。このオリジナルの指輪は、金属が織りなす独特の美しさと、その物理的な存在感から一般的なジュエリーとして認識されると思います。次に、その指輪を3Dスキャンし、そのデータを使用してSLD方式で複製を出力しました。この過程によって、指輪の形状やディテールがデジタルの領域に取り込まれ、新たな次元が加わりました。映像化された3Dスキャンデータは、情報としての指輪の記憶／記録を象徴し、個人的な感情やその歴史的な価値を視覚化しました。一方で複製された指輪は着用性とデザインを抽出することで美的と機能的価値を表しています。そして最後に、オリジナルの指輪を溶解させ、純金の粒に戻しました。この行為は、物質的な価値を問い直し、富の象徴である金がいかに純粋であるかを示しています。さらにはデジタルデータが利便的で時代性を映し出すツールとして、また複製品がジュエリーを形骸化したものとして、より強調されます。
この作品は、指輪を3つの要素に分解することで、人間と装身具の普遍的な関係を問い直すだけでなく、「人間が生み出した価値」についても問いかけます。
